About Toolsvu
630 single-purpose tools, one domain, no accounts.
What This Place Actually Is
Toolsvu is 630 utilities across 15 categories: JSON formatters, image compressors, color pickers, hash generators, text manipulators, PDF editors, unit converters, social-post mockups. The kind of stuff you end up Googling at 11pm on a Tuesday when you just need to slugify a headline or shrink a screenshot before uploading it somewhere.
There's no premium plan hiding behind a paywall. No "you've used your 3 free tries today" nonsense. You open a tool, you use it, you move on. That's genuinely it.
Why it exists
Most single-task tool sites optimize for everything except the task: popups, cookie walls, sign-up gates, character limits on the free tier. Toolsvu is the opposite bet, each tool does one job, does it on the first screen, and the site earns its keep from plain display ads instead of gating features.
How Things Work Under the Hood
Client-Side Tools
The bulk of what we offer runs 100% inside your browser. Formatting JSON, hashing a password, converting hex to RGB, your data literally never touches our servers. It stays on your machine the whole time. We couldn't snoop even if we wanted to.
Server-Side Tools
Certain jobs, squishing a 12MB image, merging PDFs, converting video, need actual server horsepower. For those, you upload your file, we crunch it, hand back the result, and wipe your file from our end right away. Nothing lingers. We have zero interest in your vacation photos.
The Stuff We Deliberately Skip
No cross-site trackers. No selling or harvesting data, honestly, we barely collect any. No user accounts to manage. No features locked behind a credit card.
Everything the site remembers about you, your dark or light theme, favorite tools, recently used tools, a converter's last unit selection, lives in your browser's local storage. Clear it and we'll never know you were here.
Who Runs This
Toolsvu is independent and self-funded, built and run by a developer who has been shipping web projects since 2009. No investors, no parent company, no roadmap theater.
The bar for shipping is simple: a tool has to work well and load fast. When it does, it ships, and the next one gets built. Feature requests that keep showing up move to the front of the queue.
