Combine Audio Files Without a DAW
You’ve got your podcast intro jingle (8 seconds), the interview recording (42 minutes), and your outro music (12 seconds). Three separate files. Your hosting platform wants one. You could fire up Audacity or GarageBand, create a project, import all three, align them, export… or you could just upload them here, put them in order, and hit merge.
The output is a single MP3 file with all the tracks played back-to-back. No gaps, no crossfades. Just straight concatenation.
How It Works
Upload your files. They can be different formats, MP3, WAV, OGG, FLAC, AAC, whatever. The server normalizes them during the merge so they play together smoothly. Arrange the order using up/down buttons, remove anything you don’t want, and merge. The result is always an MP3.
Steps
- Upload two or more audio files.
- Arrange them in order.
- Remove any you don’t want.
- Click Merge.
- Download the combined MP3.
Real Uses
Podcast assembly. This is the big one. Intro music, main content, mid-roll ad break, more content, outro. Five files that need to become one episode. If you’re not doing fancy audio effects, you don’t need a full DAW for this, just merge and upload.
Audiobook chapters. You’ve recorded each chapter as a separate file (which makes sense for editing). Now you need a single continuous file for distribution. Merge them in order and you’ve got your audiobook.
Language lessons. String together vocabulary words, example sentences, pauses, and dialogue clips into structured lesson files. Upload them in the learning order and merge.
Event DJ prep. Pre-merge your set list into one continuous file. The tracks play back-to-back without gaps, so you don’t have to worry about dead air between songs if you’re using a basic playback system.
Consolidating voice memos. You recorded five separate voice memos during a conference. Merge them into one file for easier playback and reference later.
Custom alarm or ringtone compilations. It’s niche, but some people want a specific sequence of sounds as their morning alarm. Merge them and set the combined file.
Need to trim individual clips before combining them? The Audio Trimmer gets that done. If you need the output in FLAC or WAV instead of MP3, convert the merged file with the Audio Format Converter.
FAQ
Can I mix formats? Yes, MP3, WAV, OGG, FLAC, AAC. The tool converts everything to a common format during the merge. Output is always MP3.
How many files can I merge? Up to 10 at a time, in whatever order you arrange them. More files means more processing time, but it handles it.
Is there silence between tracks? No. The clips join with zero gap. One ends, the next starts immediately.
Can I rearrange the order? Yes. Up/down buttons let you move files around. You can also remove any file from the list before merging.
What if I need a different output format? The merge always outputs MP3. For other formats, convert the result with the Audio Format Converter.
